My first passport arrived today! It was pretty exciting getting it in the mail. I kept putting it off, because it was difficult to find a time at my local acceptance facility that worked for me and my schedule. The current turnaround time is about 4-6 weeks from date of acceptance, but even with the standard processing time mine was shipped to me in only 2. I was actually a bit worried it wouldn't arrive in time to take a shorter trip this summer before school started up in August. I suppose not a lot of people are getting or renewing them this summer, or maybe I just missed the rush earlier in the year.

Regardless, I'm happy to finally have it and look forward to many years of use.
